Bramble the Fairy is a children's entertainer in central CA specializing in bubble magic performance

Bramble's full name is Bramble Rose and she is a woodland fairy who cares for the prickly plants like blackberries, raspberries, and wild roses. Bramble reminds us that although life can sometimes be prickly it's also full of beauty if you look for it.

Bramble’s favorite magic is creating rainbow bubbles that spread joy and cheer wherever they float. Did one of her bubbles become a wishing gem just for you? Place it beneath your pillow at night and make a wish to see if it comes true!

Kimberly Vaughan of Kimberly Vaughan Enterprises, LLC. warmly encouraged the creation of this delightful character.
Kimberly single-handedly puts together the Chivalry and Fantasy festival, the Celtic Festival, plus a variety of other wonderful events each year. There are a lot of small businesses and local artisans who's livelihood depends on the tourism these festivals bring to the local Yosemite area.

What is a Bramble?/What does Bramble mean?

A bramble is any wild, rough shrub or vine belonging to the Rubus genus in the rose family (like raspberries and blackberries) which is typically covered in sharp thorns. The noun is often used in plural form ("brambles") to describe a dense, tangled, or impenetrable thicket of these thorny plants. In Irish and Celtic mythology, blackberries (and the brambles that grow them) were considered the sacred food of the "fairy folk". In UK and Irish mythology it was believed that bramble bushes both marked and guarded entrances to the fairy realm.

Does Bramble do birthday parties?

Not at this time, sorry. Bramble the Fairy performs on a volunteer basis to drive foot traffic at local events in support of local artists and craftspeople. When Bramble is not at events she is employed full-time at a school which lets her rest her wings between performances. Brambles performances are unpaid but she welcomes tips which help with supplies and transportation.

Is Bramble deaf? Can she speak? Does she know American Sign Language (ASL)?

Humans sound very different to fairies so Bramble wears hearing aids in both ears to help her understand human speech. Bramble can understand you when you you talk to her, but faries only speak in joy and laughter so Bramble plays charades with event guests to communicate her fairy thoughts. Bramble does not know American Sign Language (ASL) but she has learned a few ASL signs which help her communicate with humans.

Does Bramble offer trinket trading?

Bramble does not directly offer trinket trading but she welcomes trinkets that are gifted in appreciation for her performance work where tipping is not an option. If you gift her a trinket she may gift you a fairy wishing gem in return.

Is Bramble friends with Opal the Fairy, Twig the Fairy, etc.?

Bramble is a Central California fairy and she cannot fly as far as the Scarborough Renaissance Festival (in Texas) where Opal, Twig, Primrose and friends live. Bramble is friends with Miranda the Fairy and Yose the Yosemite dragon. You can meet Bramble and her friends yearly at the Yosemite Chivalry and Fantasy festival!
